My reading goal this year is 60 books, and I am on-track to do that, having reading over 15 books so far this year. I include academic non-fiction in my total because it matters to me that I’m reading at all, and it seems silly to only count fiction toward my reading goal! It also motivates me to get through the never-ending TBR that haunts you as a scholar-thinker. I’ve also recently gotten into audiobooks on Libby because my podcast rotation has been feeling stale, and I am wanting more immersion in a world for longer than an hour or so at a time. Though, admittedly, I find fiction hard to pay attention to in audio form because it takes some of the joy out of fleshing out characters for myself. So that means I’m doing a little more “self help” and memoir than usual, which is a nice change I think.
So, with all that said, here’s some reviews of what I’ve read in the last 6 weeks!
