I have been having a good streak of consistency in my journal. So many pages have highlighted bits that I don’t even remember writing, but that are little miracles every time I find them. It’s nice to have visual mnemonics for all the times I stumble upon a realization or strike gold with a little bit of self-motivation through the writing process.
When I left France in May, I accidentally left my laminated collage of mantras taped up on the dresser in my Airbnb. I’ve missed it! So after lamenting the loss of the old one, I recently made an updated one with new reminders for this phase of life. Here’s what the draft looked like:
I am inspired by Amie McNee, who recently shared snippets from her journals as a testament to her growth. I personally enjoy sharing my own snippets to show how frank and silly-sounding you might have to force yourself to be, in order for the morning pages ritual to be so transformative.
So, here are a string of reminders to myself, typos and all.
